Welcome! Resonant Sun is the originator of his own genre of music, tribalastrofunk, which blends conscious hip-hop lyrics over live loops infused with dub, blues, and downtempo elements. In 2002, he released his first major CD, named after the genre itself. "Tribalastrofunk," has many listeners "hempnotized" by the melodic grooves and catchy vocals, not to mention the hemp positive message. Resonant Sun performs solo and with special guests from the 13th Tribe and the Galactic Dub Council. Based in Oakland, CA, Resonant Sun continues to concentrate on topics such as universal love, nature, eco-revolution, Maya calendar,and ital livity, in a humorous and harmonious way. Aaaauuuumm.

Unofficially, Resonant Sun has recently rocked Symbiosis (2005), Harmony Festival (2005), Whole Earth Festival (2005), RainDance(2005) and Earthdance (2004). At these events you may have seen Resonant sun with his portable PA system, spinning beats on the laptop and orchestrating the open mic freestyle session, always maintaining a positive groove inclusive of all party people. Resonant Sun has also performed at the Eugene Hempfest, Million Marijuana March (2x), SF Iraq Protest, Cell Space, and too many underground parties to recount.
